A 2026 randomized clinical trial published in JAMA Network Open found acupuncture outperformed sham treatment for migraine without aura by reducing migraine days and improving daily function.

Not “woo.” Not placebo.
Measured outcomes.

According to the article, “Acupuncture was shown to reduce migraine pain and improve daily function after receiving twelve 30-minute acupuncture sessions over 4 weeks (3 sessions per week, ideally every other weekday). Brain imaging also showed it may work differently for different people helping predict who will experience the most relief and functional improvement.”
